1948 KUKA branches out into new product areas |

To reduce dependency on welding machines and municipal vehicles, a search is mounted for other areas of activity.
KUKA thus agrees to take over construction of twin-cylinder circular knitting machines from Hilscher. Other plans include the manufacture of flat typewriters and sheet feeders for printing presses.
