Ken Pinkney is also the first member of staff to reach the milestone among the company's 22 worldwide subsidiaries, which includes Halesowen-based KUKA Automation + Robotics.
Ken, from Gornal, has been customer services manager at the Hereward Rise site for the past 15 years, having joined the company in 1985 as a service engineer at its previous base in Reading. He then moved on to other roles including robot technician and projects manager.
He was presented with a gold watch and a gift of a day's Ferrari driving experience by Alan Shilton, managing director of KUKA Automation + Robotics, during a special ceremony attended by colleagues.
I was completely taken aback by the surprise presentation and delighted to be honoured in this way. I enjoy working for KUKA because it is a forward-thinking company with innovative products, said Ken.
