With effect from 1 January 1996, KUKA Schweissanlagen + Roboter GmbH is split into two companies, each operating independently on the market: KUKA Roboter GmbH and KUKA Schweissanlagen GmbH.
KUKA Roboter GmbH starts operating with about 250 employees and achieves an output of 4,000 robots.
