The products of the Kölner Verbund Brauereien are extremely popular, and in order to meet the demand the company operates three heavily automated state-of-the-art filling systems. All in all, nine KUKA robots are used there, including one particularly special one: the KR 15 SL – SL standing for stainless steel – the KUKA expert for wet room applications. The customer required a robotic bung application solution and also an application for palletizing barrels. |

| Implementation / Solution |
| |
| The first KUKA KR 350 and KR 210 robots were purchased for the bottle cellar back in 1999. The priority then was modernization of the bottling system. Since then, the KUKA robots have been used to load and unload pallets and remove bottles from crates. |
