World premiere at LIGNA

KUKA Roboter GmbH unveils its three new palletizing robots in Hanover

KR 700 PA
Hanover/Augsburg, May 2009 - KUKA Roboter GmbH is exhibiting for the first time at LIGNA, which opens its gates from 18 to 22 May 2009 in Hanover. The technological leader from Augsburg has chosen the international flagship fair for the forestry and wood industries as the ideal venue to present itself as an industry specialist and logistics expert with the global launch of the three new palletizing robots KR 300 PA, KR 470 PA and KR 700 PA. At Booth B22 in Hall 25, visitors to the fair can see for themselves just how attractive these smart stacking robots really are.

KUKA robots have been very popular in the wood and furniture industry for years. With its individual automation solutions tailored to the specific requirements of its customers, the technological leader from Augsburg is certainly barking up the right tree. The Swabian robot manufacturer is now taking the limelight at LIGNA for the first time and using this international platform to unveil its brand new stacking specialists KR 300 PA, KR 470 PA and KR 700 PA to the public. The new stacking experts have a whole range of optimized palletizing applications up their sleeves, not just for the wood and furniture industry, but also for many other sectors. And by staging the world premiere of the new palletizers at LIGNA, KUKA Roboter is demonstrating just how important the wood industry is for the company.

Versatile palletizing range

With the market launch of the three robots, KUKA is rounding out its product portfolio to cover what is probably the world’s widest available range of palletizing robots. They are characterized by extremely short cycle times and long reaches, and can be used to implement virtually any customer-specific palletizing solution for a payload range from 40 kg to 1,300 kg.

There’s no stronger stacker than a KUKA palletizing robot

The KR 1000 1300 “TITAN” PA is the star of the product range: it can lift an impressive 1,300 kg; it elegantly handles and palletizes even the heaviest workpieces with ease. This heavyweight giant is the big brother of the KR 1000 “TITAN”, the world’s first robot with a load-bearing capacity of 1,000 kg.

Higher, faster, further

Together with its strong network of system partners, KUKA Roboter meets the demand for high throughput rates and efficient palletizing with a convincing package of solutions: all KUKA palletizing robots have a large working envelope and thus allow high stack heights and use of even the largest grippers. Furthermore, short cycle times and an integrated operator control concept ensure high cost-effectiveness.

Bavarian delicacies in Hanover

At the KUKA booth, LIGNA visitors will have the opportunity to see how KUKA robots combine Bavarian tradition with state-of-the-art technology. And one thing we can reveal already: KUKA robots will be demonstrating that they are capable of far more than just having a good time!
