The 4th Automation-2008 exhibition focusing on Process Automation and Robotics is being organized by IED Communications Mumbai. KUKA is displaying 2 robots from its wide product range at the 4th Automation-2008 exhibition. The KUKA product range extends from a payload capacity of five to 1,000 kilograms. Thanks to the KUKA modular system, the six basic models can currently be produced in more than 250 variants tailored to the customer’s requirements: with longer or shorter axes, for example, or as a shelf-mounted robot. That is customer orientation at its best.
While one of the robots – KR 16 -robot is showing a typical arc welding solution together with the KUKA Positioner DKP-400 (which could carry a job of around 400 kg for welding). The robot and the positoner work in sync to get the job welded effectively and very fast. This is a typical application and KUKA has proved its technical superiority of this application worldwide over and over again.
The second robot a KR 210 is showing a typical Material Handling application (a most common application in every industry worldwide), same as the widely used robots at TATA Motors and other OEM’s.
